About the Practice

This practice is embodied self-love. It's designed to help you connect the mental and the physical parts of yourself, using the breath as a thread. It's also an opportunity to create space and "digest" the countless experiences of the day on a physical, mental, and emotional level.

Led by yoga teacher and Ayurvedic educator Roya Pourshalchi, each embodiment sequence includes simple breathwork, gentle movement, and the activation of marma (Ayurvedic acupressure) points.

Note: This is a seated practice. No yoga or meditation experience is required.

How does this relate to Vedic Meditation?

Vedic Meditation is a mental technique, and an embodiment practice involves physical techniques. While Vedic Meditation is transcendent, allowing you to go beyond the body, an embodiment practice is a way to connect to your form and physically ground yourself. In this way, an embodiment practice is the perfect complement for anyone who already practices Vedic Meditation.

Do I have to attend every Monday?

No. Although showing up consistently is powerful, each weekly practice stands on its own and you are free to attend when you can.
