About the Workshop

How does your food make you feel?

Food is meant to fuel us. Our meals should give us energy and leave us feeling grounded and nourished. Ayurveda teaches that certain foods promote calm, blissful states of mind, while others may leave you feeling dull and tired. In contrast, some foods tend to stimulate the mind, leading to racing thoughts or anxiety. If you find yourself feeling exhausted or wired during your meditations, then it may be helpful to explore the Ayurvedic perspective on cooking and eating.

In this workshop, we will discuss how our diet impacts our state of consciousness. We will talk about how to choose foods that promote well-being and support our meditation practice. We will also discuss ways to strengthen and support our digestion, and how to structure our meal times in alignment with the Ayurvedic clock. Finally, we will explore practical ways to begin to implement Ayurvedic cooking and eating into our daily routine. Each person will also be sent a handout with a few simple Ayurvedic recipes.

Group Meditation included.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to The Loveland Foundation.
